The Centro Guide Turistiche di Milano, founded in 1960, was the city's first tourist guide association.
For years now, the Centro Guide Turistiche has worked in collaboration with the Milan Municipality, the District of Milan, the Tourist Board and other Milanese institutions, both in the public and private sphere, providing advice and developing initiatives in the field of cultural tourism for both Italian and international users.
2015 was a truly exceptional year (we provided more than 5400 services) particularly thanks to Expo, which saw us involved both at the Rho exhibition site and around the city, which was vitalized by a series of events taking place at every hour of the day and night.
In addition, the Culture Department of the Centro Guide Turistiche, coordinated by members with expertise in historic-artistic and literary disciplines, periodically plans cultural itineraries aimed mainly at Italians interested in discovering the lesser known or not-so-accessible places of interest and historical buildings and monuments in Milan, its province and Lombardy. These itineraries have been on offer as “Art Visits” since as long ago as 1990.
Since 1997, the Education Department of the Centro Guide Turistiche has been developing itineraries specifically designed for students of all levels and the success of the initiative has further enhanced our reputation. Moreover, every year, in February, for the “International Tourist Guide Day proclaimed by the WFTGA (World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations) we organize free promotional guided tours...you're welcome to join us!
